About Me

I am a PhD candidate with the Environmental Geochemistry and Oceanography Research Group at the University of Hong Kong. My research uses a variety of geochemical tools to explore phenomena related to climate, ocean circulation, marine nutrient dynamics and environmental change on different timescales. More recently, I have been interested in applying numerical methods to investigate these concepts in better quantitative detail. Currently, my major interests include 1) reconstructing the physical mechanisms responsible for regulating the strength of the Atlantic meridional overturning circulation (AMOC) throughout past warm periods, 2) characterizing the effects of a modern-day AMOC slow-down on the biogeochemical oceanography of the (sub)polar North Atlantic and 3) investigating past and present environmental variability in marine ecosystems.
